About Me

My photo
I created this blog back in August 2010. The focus was mainly on Material things. Though I am still a lover of material things however, I feel that there are plenty of bloggers out there that feeds into this frenzy of having this constant want over basic necessities. Instead, this is just going to be a blog about my adventures through life. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!! ^^ Please comment and subscribe!

HOLY HAUL!!!

Hello Readers. So I've been Hauling like crazy lately here and there since October and now we are in December! Schools been crazy which makes it hard to do blogs but I finally found sometime to share with you all what I have collected lately. ^^ I hope you guys enjoy! If you have questions add me on Twitter and I'll be glad to answer any of them! ^^

I got this Palette from BH Cosmetics. 120 very pigmented shadows. I absolutley love this palette! Love all the colors and its perfect for someone that just newly into Makeup! ^^  I believe it was $24 dollars at 30% off because of Cyber Monday! STEAL!

If you've been following my on twitter you know my story about Uggs. Now I have a pair of Uggs already but they've been through two years of ABUSE! I wore them Rain or Shine, puddles and all. I did not take care of them at all. By the time I was done with my Uggs they had holes in the front. I was in desperate need for some Uggs and I simply Do not have a Cash right now to throw $180 for a pair. I even got ripped off online by a too good to be true deal on Uggs! 50% off is way too good and I realized they were just buying time to get my money...I was never going to get my Uggs. DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE AND BUY UGGS!!!!! usuggaustralia.com If you know anything about shutting down a website, please do that to this one! I ended up getting these Ugg Dupes at Costco! I have reason to believe these are actually from the Uggs Manufacturer because when I put my foot in the boots it felt just like the first time I put real Uggs on! The only thing missing is the Logo! GO OUT AND GET YOURSELF A PAIR at $36!!!!!

Ladies...Ladies...Ladies, If you have not tried Nars Turkish Delight make sure you go to your Local Sephora and try it. Its such a beautiful milky pink. Simply Beautiful! I am looking for a dupe because I might have to return this one because the price tag kinda makes me sick. At $24 a pop! Thats Robbery! I hear Elf has a dupe for only $1 called bubble gum! Various Guru's on Youtube talks about Turkish Delight Dupes as well, so look it up! ^^

I snagged this also at COSTCO! Ladies please go to your local Costco, this palette is simply beautiful!

All the colors are incredibly pigmented. If I remember correctly and by referring to the picture..hehe There are 30 eye shadows, 15 lipglosses, 2 bronzers, 1highlighter, 2 blushes, one black eyeliner, one lipliner and 4 brushes for under $20! Perfect for a xmas gift to self or a good friend! ^^ VERY SNAGABLE!

The colors are very user friendly. Nothing soo dramatic to intimate a beginner like me!

I really need a jacket this Holiday season... So I picked this adorable Jacket up at H&M. I believe it was under $60. Its perfect!

A Strong Shoulder Dress Jacket. Absolutely adorable! H&M

Leather front panel pants. H&M

The warmest scarf I own! GAP

Best hair conditioner ever! Ladies if you have very dry and processed hair: Let me explain processed. In the last two months I have permed my hair, dyed my hair, straighten my hair everyday because I hated the perm, then I dyed it, lastly I permed it straight twice because it didn't work the first time! With all that said my hair is in better shape then when I first started the whole process because of this hair conditioner! It smells like apples too! Snagable! (my husband just spilled half of this bottle! >.< $12 dollar...mean $6 down the drain)

I've been watching Fuzkittie on youtube a lot lately and she just raves about the MAC mineralize Skin Finishes...

I absolutely love the soft and gentle which gives you a very beautiful glow! The Medium plus keeps my makeup in place all day! I have very oily skin, so these are definitely a must have for me! ^^ Gotta be glow-y in the holiday season! Tis the season to be glow-y!!

My first time at the faceshop! I picked up this lip gloss and I simply love it..I might go back and see if I can find a lip gloss that dupes the turkish delight by Nars!

Now that I am looking at this post...I feel like I am missing a lot more items. I might have to update this post a little bit later with more things I've purchased over the past 2 months! Stay Tuned!! I might just do a October/ November Favorites Blog Soon!

I KNOW WHATS MISSING FROM THIS POST!!! MY HAUTELOOK purchase that hasn't arrived yet! I knew something was missing! I'll post more once all my items arrives! Whats in your bag!! ~ Day 4

"WHATS IN A BITCHES BAG?!" as XPPINKX would say ~ Day 4

I know I am behind on this October Photoblog Challenge but I've had a rough couple of days due to midterms and massive amount of homework. Anyway, this is day 4! This is what I have to bring with me when I leave the house.

Above items: My purse is actually a limited edition LeSportSac bag that my husband purchased for me on our honeymoon in Hawaii! I absolutely love it because its really lite in weight and give me that pop of color cause I wear BLACK all the TIME! I think its super cute, I simply love the print because it reminds me of the amazing time I had in Hawaii. This print is only available for purchase in Hawaii and Fiji not online.

I also have a coach wallet that I snagged over the summer. I love the little pucker detail it has. Gives it something else than just plan black I suppose. ^^

My makeup bag is actually a Lancome bag if you can't tell by their signature flower. I got this one month ago as a gift with a purchase of $30+. I really love this makeup bag. Its simple, fun and does its job!!

So this is actually the mess thats in my makeup bag. When I was taking pictures of this mess, I came to the realization that I never touch up during the day. EVER! So, WHY THE HELL DO I TORTURE MYSELF WITH THIS HEAVY ADDITION!? I guess its for those just in case moments where you makeup decides to go crazies on you and if you don't have back up you'd regret it. o.O The shit women do to look on point. sigh.
**FYI GIRLS: This is the bulk of my make up.**
only thing missing is my setting powder, which is Lancome shimmery something. It makes you glow from within. I love it!
I have a couple of other shadows that I am still learning to use, but thats about it!

1. This is my limited edition Le Sport Sac Bag from Hawaii (LOOVEE)
2. My "Gift" Lancome makeup bag
3. Mac Poweder brush (for setting powder and blush)
4. My contact lubricants (I don't love any of them)
5. Missha BB creams (#23 and 31 I mix them to get the right color) 23 is way too light and 31 is now too dark. >.< **REVIEW** I've been using this product for about a month now and I have to say my completion is a lot better! My acne scars are fading as well as some freckles AND my acne problem has gotten a lot better!!**  It can get really oily by the end of the day tho...but again I have really oily skin. The pro's definitely outweigh the cons!
6. Lancome eyebrow pencil. (I don't really use this because its not the right color)
7. Sephora brush...I think this is a corner brush or something. (I use this to highlight the corner of my eyes)
8. This is the a brush that I pack color on my lids with. (Sorry, I don't have the correct terminology. Shadows are all new to me.)
9. Laura Merceir eyebrow pencil (my love, the color is fair blonde)
10. Stila lip glaze in raspberry. (I don't wear lip gloss because my husband hates it/ also bc its sticky. but when I need that pop of color, this is what I use.) I actually got this for free from Sephora because I "earned" enough points.
11. and 22. Stila Angle brush and Mac concrete eye shadow. I use this brush to apply the power on my eyebrows.
12. MAC LiquidLAST liner. THIS MY FAVORITE EYELINER of ALL TIME! (you can swim with it, sweat like a lil piggy and it wont budge. I'd be lost without this liner. I have been using this for 3-4 years now. if I had to pick one thing from my makeup bag, this would be it!)
13. Lancome black eyeliner pencil. (I don't really use this even though I should. Drawing in your waterline would make eyelashes look fuller. TOO MUCH WORK!!)
14. Sephora brush. I use this as a blending brush. (HA, I don't know!!)
15. Eyelash glue by dollywink. (Just in case I wear lashes, which is never...)
16. Lancome mascara in hypnose. (Pretty good mascara, runs fast when it gets wet tho...)
17. Random old beat up eyebrow tweezer...(sometimes you just need one.)
18. Benefit lip stain: in Posie Tint. (I use this on my cheeks and on my lips. I like the stain bc it doesn't come off. Again i don't reapply my makeup throughout the day soo...this helps!)
19. My Coach wallet!
20. BobbyBrown Shadows in grey and smoke. (for when I am feeling mysterious.)
21. Mac blush in tenderling. (Very subtle blush.)
23. Mac Shadow in Sweet Lust. (I use this on the inner corner of my eyes. Love the sweet glow it gives. Sometimes i'll use this as a highlighter for my cheeks too!)
24. My house keys and car keys...(lol self explanatory.)
25. My Driod. My Love. I can't leave the house without my cellphone! (no picture. :P)
26. Totally forgot about my lipstick in the middle. Mac lustre in Jubilee. (this is actually nude no my lips. >.< and the Bobby brown lip gloss I got for my wedding day is also nudy on my lips with a pop of pink. too sticky icky.)

**The components that I simply have to have everyday is the Missha BB cream, **
Mac liquidlast, laura mericeir eyebrow pencil, and posie tint by Benefit.

This is my Princess Cut Diamond engagement ring and band. I CAN'T and wont leave the house without this puppy. ^^ I am very happily married.

This is another ring my hubby bought for me. Its a Ice Blue Sapphire ring. I absolutely LOVE it. This was my wedding day gift. ^^ <3

Hope that was enjoyable!!!!

First day of Fall 2010

Today is the first day of fall 2010 EVERYONE! It was around 70 degrees at the highest in my neck of the woods. Took my first midterm today. Kind of disoriented because I was only able to sneek in about 4 hours of sleep last night due to massive cramming session. But all and all it was a beautiful day. So glad its FALL!! All my favorite TV shows are back! How I Met Your Mother, Bones, Rules of Engagement, Royal Pains... and a couple of new ones I can't wait to catch: Out Sourced, Nikita...and a couple others I don't remember names for.Oh and HOCKEY PRE-SEASON HAS STARTED!!! GOOO SHHHARRKKKS!!! I simply can't wait till the weather gets cooler, I can't wait for the leaves to start turning Amber and Orange, I can't wait for Halloween!! EEeEEkk Its going to be a GREAT FALL this year!

On Another NOte...
Make up BLuRp~

I've been wearing the BB cream for about a week now and I really really like it. I haven't broken out or anything and let me tell you... My face is very very sensitive and prone to breaking out. So first signs are good! They say its not foundation but it looks and covers just like foundation so guess what IT IS FOUNDATION but with benefits of clearing up your acne prone skin I suppose. In a couple of post previous to this one I mentioned that I received the Missha BB cream in #31 from ebay. I thought I was pretty damn dark but this BB cream has this intense orange tint to it. Anyway, its kind of matches with my skin color and it kinda doesn't. Thank goodness it came with a sample size of the Missha BB cream #23. I mixed it together and it was perfect. So the Missha #23 has this grey cast to it. Really weird because no one has a grey undertone... so I definitely think you either have to mix the #23 with your current foundation or add bronzer powder over after you've applied it to your face. Another thing with the BB cream is its really hard to spread on your face. Unless you want to loose all the natural elastin in your face you better pair it together with a little bit of moisturizer. The sample size after a couple days was starting to get low (Missha #23) so I decided to go ahead and purchase a real bottle before I was completely out. I made the purchase over the weekend and received it today. Theres nothing like a little gift staring back at your in the mail box. I snatched it got home and opened it. So here it is!! :)

Pro's:
-A little goes a long way which means this product will last a long time!
-It does a really good job as a foundation. It will cover up any little flaws that you might have. May it be acne scars like I have. A small red pimple formation. Don't worry it'll be gone!
-It claims that it will that it will lighten your skin tone and heal visible wrinkles and blemishes. (Can't vouch for that yet)
-It does have SPF 42 PA+++ which is pretty intense. If you ladies don't know this by now...learn it here. ALWAYS WEAR SPF under your make up. Unless your objective is to look like a old leather bag when you are older than DONT! :)

Con's:
-It doesn't really match my skin color perfectly. I have to mix two colors together to get the right result. I am a NC37 (mac terminology)
- Its pretty hard to spread on your face so make sure to add a little bit of moisturizer.

My first Post Haul!

I've been doing a little shopping here and there lately. Shouldn't be spending a lot of money since I am currently of STUDENT status... But i did get some essentials that I want to share!

I ran out of contacts a couple of weeks ago and have only been wearing my glasses. This was frustrating because I wasn't able to wear my sunglasses while I was driving around. Also, sometimes wearing reading glasses all the time just isn't cute. So I read around on picked up some colored contacts! ^^ These came all the way from Malaysia!

Look at the cute packaging! I got a pink piggy contact case for my black contacts and a Grey Hippo for my grey contacts! Soo damn freaken cute! ^^ Love stuff from Asia! They just seem to know how to please their customers. Anyway, I also got this really cute hand written note thanking me for my purchase! I will definitely purchase from them again. The special thing about these contacts is that you can wear them for an ENTIRE YEAR if you take care of the correctly of course!

Another shot of the packaging. I love the little boxes. The free very cute contact lenses! So EXCITED!

Me with the black pair of contacts on. They are piercing... but i really do like them.

I was at Norstroms the other day with my TJ and Lancome had this gift bag with any purchase over $35 dollars. I couldn't resist. >.< I should have though...I guess I can always return it? I don't know. Anyway, I got this really cute bag with 6 little sample items that I really dig. The mascara is one of my favorite items and the creams are fantastic!

I was at the mall looking for some accessories to dress up an outfit I already have. I've always been intimidated by accessories, just simply didn't know where to start...when to stop!?!? Anyway, I dare to say I love these necklaces. Not sure if I can pull them off or not yet but this is definitely a start to my accessories collection.

I found these tops at H&M for $5.95! All of my white tank tops have some design or are see through so I decided that these items were cheap enough and HELL I never wear pink. But for $ 5.95 I sure am willing to TRY!

So I purchased this jacket way before its time when I was still working at Wells Fargo Bank. GOD, That was like two, three years ago. Anyway, I've always thought it was too long. I pulled it out the other night and paired it with a pair of leggings and the white H&M tops with the feather necklace and it just looked Amazing!

Makeup BLuRp~
I've been living Viciously through this other girls blog site and she's opened my eyes up to a lot of things. I've always loved make up however i've never been risky. I've always played it safe. This is the FIRST tube of lipstick I've ever purchased because of her! Now my lips are HUUGGGEE and I simply haven't gotten comfortable enough to try something outrages so I started out with this. Mac lipstick in Jubilee. Very nude and subtle with a tiniest hint of pink. :) Oh PS my HUSBAND hates it when I wear lipstick because it gets on him which is also why theres been a lack of investment on these blubber sticks. I never knew how a simple glob of lipstick can change your entire look! I guess I am becoming more adventurous as I get older. Now I know why some women are soo addicted to makeup. Its like drugs but with endless options, colors, brands, without the crazy side effects... well I guess there are two: The ADDICTION, and THE EMPTY WALLET! >.<

I've been sick for the last couple of weeks and when I was sitting at home I was on youtube more than I have ever been previously and came across this item called BB cream. Apparently BB cream is the biggest fad in Asia right now. BB cream is a blemish balm, its suppose to help you with acne scars and help your skin restore its youthful qualities. I ran out of my liquid make up and decided to give this a go! Hell if i could get rid of some of these acne scars I wouldn't have to wear makeup PERIOD! So this was the last splurge I made. So far it has a really thick consistency but i'll report back when I see some results!

Next SPLURGE will be the LUMIX LX5 Camera. I've heard all kinds of raves about it. I am just waiting for it to come out at Best Buy so I can get my 10% off as a Reward Zone member and the Service plan! ^^ No more shopping from here on out. BROOOOKKKEEE >.<
