I am sorry that I've been gone for so long! I've been so busy with every aspect of life: School, Planning Graduation, Getting ready for real life after graduation, etc.. I can honestly tell you that I wont be updating this as often as I use to simply because I use to blog about the most material things possible and it gave me something to talk about. Wow, sorry that sounds incredibly superficial and vein. Honestly speaking though, I was. However, I am not saying that I am not vein, but lately I've come to realize not to focus so much on MATERIAL things and more on building a career, life, family, and friends.
TOTAL SEGWAY: This is the Christmas gift "We" the kids gave to My mother in Law. She was in tears, it was crazy how she reacted. the entire family was crying. It was such a special moment. Hope you all had such a special moment this past Christmas. ^^
I feel at this moment I might be contradictory to what I've said above about material things. But, in order to have everything I want in the world is to be successful in my career. This is my personal Philosophy, which I am entitled to. In my opinion, wealth does measure success. One day, I want to be able to purchase what ever I want without having to budget or be scared living from pay check to pay check. My new found realization has forced me to save and put my focus in another direction so I am capable of attaining material things without substituting money for food instead for a lipgloss.
I hope all my readers can understand that saving is the key to being successful. I don't believe people understand how buying little things here and there can really effect their bottom line. $5-$6 starbucks in the morning will cost you $1825 a YEAR, not to mention that lipgloss that you buy every 2-3 months @ $12 a pop, or those eye shadow pallets that seem completely worth the quantity @$54 a pop, etc... can easily add up to a lot of money. There is always a justification to spending money, but that what marketing is all about. "They" the marketers are able to convince and confuse you to believe that your WANTS are NECESSITIES. Its disturbing. Please make sure you are budgeting yourself, and understanding your finances before you spend till your knee deep in debt. When you are knee deep in debt, that debt just keeps growing. You are purchasing things with your credit card thinking you'll be able to pay it back. You start off good, then you start paying the minimum, then you miss one payment, then you miss a couple. The next thing you notice is that you can't pay back the credit cards, your credit score is down, and your dream go down the drain. It s soo sad to see people end up in this spiral of debt, but it happens very often because people have the misconception and think they can have what ever they want and at whatever time.
I think from now on I want to teach from experience on my blog. I know this is a totally different avenue than what I started this blog with. But, I absolutely think it is important to know about how every decision can enable you to have an amazing future. Think positive and allow yourself a chance at an amazing future. You are worth it.
Cheers to the beginning of 2011 for it will be a wonderful start to a brilliant and successful future! ^^

Hey it a blog, you blog whatever you want to blog about.
ReplyDeleteWell said Doll! It's nice to read from you again, I was gonna say hear, but we don't technically hear from you, we read from you :) silly sense of humor I have, but really it is nice to see that you're doing ok, and can I just say I'm so proud of you!! It takes someone who's been through ups and downs to come to the realization you have of what's important in life. Sooo many more people need to learn that theory. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated New Year!!
:) :) :) :) :)
Funny that you blogged about 'success' because I'm actually in the process of writing a new post on this topic on my blog. It's quite a lengthy one too. So keep an eye out! =)
ReplyDeleteI usually like to keep my blog on the superficial side (most of the time), but on the rare occasion, I would like to express a little bit more than just fashion, cosmetics, food and photos.
I'm very materialistic and enjoy spending money especially on fashion, cosmetics, food and movies. Managing money which includes saving, budgeting and investing is a very important aspect in my life.
I look forward to your future posts!
